Indo East manufactures and galvanizes telecom tower accessories at its Jangalpur works in Howrah — antenna mounts for microwave and GSM, circular poles, Hamilton poles, foundation and anchor bolts, anti-climbing devices, bird guards, danger, phase and number plates, cable trays and ladders, bracing members, and rooftop pole and mast frames. Steel to IS 2062, fasteners to IS 1367, galvanized to IS 2629 and IS 4759 at 75–85 microns.
Accessories are usually treated as an afterthought on a tower order, bought separately and cheaply, and they are usually the items that arrive late at a different coating after the erection crew is already on site. Fabricated here, they go into the same kettle as the tower and come out with the same batch record.
Indo East has manufactured Hamilton poles for India’s Department of Telecommunications since 1987. That was one of the company’s first major government contracts, and it began a relationship with the country’s telecom infrastructure sector that has now run for close to four decades. The company was founded in 1975 and incorporated as a private limited company in 2010.

Foundation and anchor bolt grades are specified under IS 1367, and the grades that appear are 4.6, 5.6 and 8.8. The grade changes the source and the price, and it is invisible in a comparison table — so it belongs in the enquiry rather than in a post-award clarification. Foundation bolts are fabricated here and galvanized with the rest of the consignment.
Accessories are a small line on a tower order and usually the line that is bought separately to save a little. The saving is real and small; the cost of a mount arriving three weeks after the tower, at a coating nobody recorded, is neither.

IS 2629 for the process and IS 4759 for the coating, at 75 to 85 microns, read on a calibrated DFT gauge and reported per batch. IS 6745 and IS 2633 cover the coating mass and uniformity tests. Accessories are dipped in the same 7 metre kettle as the towers themselves, which is the point - the mount and the structure it bolts to carry the same coating and the same batch record.

We supply against the customer's specification and drawing. Where a specification requires NABL-accredited type-test reports dated within a stated period, our own laboratory is real - spectrometer, universal testing machine, hardness tester and calibrated DFT gauges - but it is not NABL-accredited, so that testing is arranged with an accredited laboratory against the order. It needs to be in the schedule from the start.
A circular pole is a tubular pole, usually swaged or in stepped sections, used for lighting, small antenna loads and distribution. A Hamilton pole is a fabricated built-up section used historically by the Department of Telecommunications for line work. We make both, and which one suits depends on the load, the height and the specification you are working to.
